Chapter one

The Ember edit

Bold and feminine. A structured silhouette carrying romantic detail — ruffled heart bodice, knife pleats, a concealed spine zip.

Close-up of the heart-shaped ruffled bodice on the Ember dress.
Close-up of knife-pleated skirt fabric in deep oxblood red.
Close-up of the concealed spine zip on the back of the Ember dress.
Repeating oxblood tulip line pattern used on ODIYA tissue paper, dust bags and care cards.
The tulip repeat — tissue, dust bags, care cards
“Cut close through the body, then released into pleats that move when you do.”

Every Ember piece is built on a canvassed foundation, so the shape holds through the night rather than relying on the wearer to hold it. Accessories stay quiet: nude tones and gold, so the red stays the loudest thing in the room.

Chapter two

It arrives the way it was made.

Wrapped by hand, tissue-folded, sealed with the tulip. The hang tag carries the piece’s care notes and the name of the tailor who finished it — because a dress that took eleven hours should not arrive in a mailer.

Cream card hang tag with black cord, resting on soft fabric.
Handwritten thank-you card in cream with black script.
Bunch of deep red tulips — the origin of the ODIYA house mark.
Chapter three

The house

A Lagos atelier dressing women who are done with clothes that only photograph well.

“Named for a tulip that opens late and holds longer than the rest.”

ODIYA began with six machines and a rule that has not moved since: nothing leaves the studio that we would not wear to our own table. Pieces are cut in-house in Victoria Island, graded across five sizes, and released in short chapters rather than seasons — so the pieces stay rare and the makers stay paid.
